View User Profiles

You can view a profile for each user of your product. In the top bar of the Kahuna application, click then type a user credential, such as email, username, or device ID.

A user profile contains critical details about a user and includes the following information.

Push enabled

Shows that Kahuna can reach this user by push on at least one of the devices known for the user.

A push is a notification, such as an alert or banner. The notification appears on a mobile device (outside of an application) to inform or update the user even if the app is not open or running. A push can encourage users to use your application.

The best push messages:

  • Are personal and relevant to each user.
  • Include a call to action.
  • Make the first characters count.
  • Are sent at the optimal time for each user.
Push disabled

Shows that Kahuna cannot reach this user by push on any of the devices known for the user.

Email enabled

Shows that Kahuna can reach this user by email.

Email disabled

Shows that Kahuna cannot reach this user by email.

SMS enabled

Shows that Kahuna can reach this user by SMS.

SMS disabled

Shows that Kahuna cannot reach this user by SMS.

IN GLOBAL CONTROL GROUP

This text shows in the top right corner of the mini user profile if the user is in the global control group.

Send a message to

Select this message box and enter a text message to the user. The message can contain up to 500 characters. To add a deep link, click the Data link and add the key-value pair for the deep link you want to add to your message. Click Save to save the data.

Click one of these buttons to send the message. 

  • Click Send In-App to send a custom message in the application to the user. To receive the message, the user must have your application open or be signed into your website.
  • Click Push All to send a message to all push-enabled devices known for the user.
  • Click Push Optimal to send a message to the optimal device, as determined by Kahuna Message Optimization.

This text message feature is typically used for testing.

The Scheduled Campaign list on the All Campaigns page includes an Individual Reachout Campaign if you have sent a message from a mini user profile. This Individual Reachout Campaign is provided for testing purposes only.

Ghost push

Click this icon in the mini user profile to send a ghost message to all the devices known for this user to determine whether push notification works.

Note: A ghost message is a test. The user does not actually receive the message.

You see this icon only if you have Ghost Push enabled. To enable Ghost Push, contact Customer Success.

LAST USE

The last time this user interacted with your application.

 

BEST TIME TO CONTACT

The best day of the week and time of day to contact this user.

ENGAGED SINCE

The elapsed time since the user last became engaged and did not slip to dormant.

 

FIRST USE

The first time this user interacted with your application.

Credentials

All known credentials for this user, such as username, email address, Facebook ID, Twitter ID, and so on.

User credentials unify users across devices. You can type a user credential in the Search box at the top of the Kahuna application to find users in your account.

Note: The mobile phone number credential is listed in encrypted form under Mobile Numbers below.

Attributes

All known attributes for this user, such as first name, language, time zone, or gender.

Attributes are values that relate to user behavior, user status, demographic information and personalization points. You can filter campaigns by attributes and also use them as points of personalization in a push message. The filter differs for each attribute value type.

Attributes are set during Kahuna integration.

Devices

All known devices for this user. Select a device to see details about the device, such as the operating system type and version running on the device, the date and time Kahuna first saw the device, the ID for this device, and whether the device is push enabled.

Mobile Numbers

All known mobile phone numbers for this user.  The phone number is encrypted.

Browser Sessions

Click Show to see all known web browsers for this user, such as Chrome, Safari, or Internet Explorer. Select a web browser to see more details, such as the version of the operating system on which the web browser is installed, the date and time Kahuna first saw the web device, and the Kahuna device ID.

Top Events

Click FREQUENT to see the most frequent events this user triggered.

Click MOST RECENT to see the most recent events this user triggered.

Events are the primary user actions, such as log in, add item to cart, purchase, and so on. You can filter campaigns on the occurrence or non occurrence of these actions.

Purchase Info

Purchase information, such as the total number of purchases the user has made and the total value of the purchases.
