Manage Users

The Manage Users page is for Kahuna administrators. To access the Manage Users page, click in the top bar of the application, then click Manage Users. You see the Manage Users item only if you are a Kahuna administrator. As an administrator, you can see all the Kahuna users that have access to your Kahuna marketing platform and the privileges assigned to them. A Kahuna administrator has the Manage Users privilege enabled.

To search for a Kahuna user, start typing the name or email address of the user in the Search users box.

You can create new users, add users from another namespace, edit user privileges, delete users, and reset the password for a user.

A Kahuna administrator can also upload push certificates on the Configuration tab of the Settings page. See Push Authorization.

To create a new user
  1. Click the Add user button, then select Create New User.
  2. In the fields provided, enter the first name, last name, and email address for the new user. A first name and last name are required.
  3. From the User Role field, select the user's role in your organization; Developer, Marketer, Analyst, Executive, or Other.
  4. In the Privileges section, select the privileges you want to assign for the user:

     

    • Manage Users allows the user to create, update, and delete users in a namespace, and upload Apple push certificates. A user with Manage User privileges is a Kahuna administrator.

    • Run Campaigns allows the user to create, enable, and disable campaigns, as well as review campaigns and campaign results, and export end user data stored in CSV format. When Run Campaigns is disabled, the user can create a disabled campaign but cannot run the campaign.

      Note: A user with only Run Campaign privileges can also view mini user profiles from the Top People and Top Purchasers page, and can view the namespace settings on the Settings page.

  5. In the Add a namespace box, enter an additional namespace you want the user to access, then click .
  6. Click Create.
To add a user from another namespace
  1. Click the Add user button, then select Add from another namespace.
  2. In the Type username box, enter the name of the user you want to add.
  3. Click Add.
To edit a user
  1. Find the user you want to edit.
  2. In the fields provided, edit the user information you want to change.
  3. In the Privileges section, update the privileges for the user:

     

    • Manage Users allows the user to create, update, and delete users in a namespace, and upload Apple push certificates. A user with Manage User privileges is a Kahuna administrator.

    • Run Campaigns allows the user to create, enable, and disable campaigns, as well as review campaigns and campaign results, and export end user data stored in CSV format. When Run Campaigns is disabled, the user can create a disabled campaign but cannot run the campaign.

  4. Click Update.
To delete a user
  1. Find the user you want to delete.
  2. Click .
To reset the password for a user
  1. Find the user whose password you want to reset.
  2. Click Send password reset.

    Kahuna sends the user an email with a link to reset their password.
