Install the SDK for iOS

Use CocoaPods to install the Kahuna SDK in an existing Xcode project.

  1. From a command prompt, type the following command to install CocoaPods.

    $ sudo gem install cocoapods
  2. In the same directory as your .xcodeproj file, type the following command to create a default pod file called Podfile.

    $ pod init
  3. Open the Podfile and add the following line between the target and end lines of your project. Save the file.

    pod 'Kahuna-Swift', '~> 2.5.14'
    Note: The 'Kahuna' pod is not compatible with newer versions of Swift and is scheduled for deprecation. The 'Kahuna' pod is still available for '2.5.14'.

    Alternatively, to use the Kahuna Marketplace SDK, add the following line between the target and end lines of your project.
    pod 'Kahuna-Marketplace', '~> 4.0.0'
  4. Type the following command to install the Kahuna pod.

    pod install

To update the pod regularly, run the pod update command.

Now that you have installed the SDK, you are ready to add user credentials. Follow the steps in Add User Credentials.
